Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer-songwriter whose tales of young heartache achieved widespread fame in the early 20th century. Swift discovered a love for music from a young age, and quickly moved into roles in theater for children to her first appearance before an audience of thousands. Swift was only 11 when she sang The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. Following that, she began writing songs and began playing guitar. Swift got inspiration from musicians of country music like Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks as well as the Chicks in order to write original music which reflected the alienation she felt at the age of 13. Swift moved from Pennsylvania along with her parents in the state of Tennessee to Hendersonville when she turned 13 to devote more time to the wooing of label labels for country music in Nashville.
